Get to Know Dr. Michael Wakily
A San Ramon native, Dr. Wakily lived and worked in California for 20 years before deciding to move to Long Island with his wife, who is from the area originally. Today, he is proud to be helping patients smile brighter right here at East Islip Dental Care! His favorite part of this position is being able to ease feelings of dental anxiety and help everyone have a genuinely comfortable experience in the treatment chair. Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from Hayward High School, Dr. Wakily headed west for college and dental school. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley before pursuing his doctorate at the University of the Pacific.
What Kind of Advanced Dental Training Do You Have?
Dr. Wakily has undergone extensive continuing education in dental implants, including surgical placement. He is also a certified Invisalign provider!
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Wakily’s wife is a medical doctor, and they have three children together. He makes sure to spends lots of quality time with his family when he isn’t busy at the practice. His personal hobbies include reading and going on hikes.
